Presentation
In this edition of “Ikerlariak”, a series of lectures organised by the Sancho el Sabio Vital Foundation with the aim of discovering researchers who contribute knowledge, through their initiative and personal work, to the study, understanding and dissemination of Basque culture, the next event will be dedicated to Bernardo de Mesanza. It will focus on his role as a researcher and disseminator of, among other topics, the emblematic production of seed potatoes in Álava, a field in which he was a pioneer in the 1950s.
In the talk, his son Javier Mesanza Aranzábal, also an agricultural engineer, will discuss his contribution to rural development in Álava. His other son, Mikel Mesanza Aranzabal, will address his relationship with Basque culture.
