Activities
Ever since it was created, the Sancho el Sabio Foundation has endeavoured to serve as a place of reflection on all aspects of the Basque culture. To achieve this, it organises a series of cultural activities including seasons and conferences, seminars, exhibitions, talks at workshops and participation in round tables, courses and congresses. It similarly issues calls for grants, awards and competitions.
The grants and competitions
The grants and competitions aimed at new generations of university-goers and researchers are a means of making the results of their studies known. Calls for grants include:
The “Jesús Olaizola Bibliography Grant” in memory of the former Director of the Centre, now deceased. This is a bibliographic compilation related to the Basque culture completing our holdings in all subject areas. At present there are no grants convocations.
The “Sancho el Sabio University Research Competition” aimed at university students with a view to encouraging research into the Basque culture and use of the Foundation holdings. Requeriments for the last call
