This programme aims to raise the profile of the Sancho el Sabio Foundation’s heritage through Wikipedia and Wikidata, combining training, public events and expert guidance. The Foundation’s historical and cultural heritage—including collections, figures and significant works relating to Basque culture—will be documented and disseminated in an accessible and reusable format, linking the catalogue to the open data ecosystem so that the information can be consulted and used worldwide. Furthermore, the programme will promote public participation and open access to knowledge, involving both the Foundation’s staff and the editing community, as well as the public with an interest in heritage, history and culture.
