University internships and scholarships for transition to the world of work

The University's functions include the creation, development, transmission and critique of science, as well as the dissemination of knowledge at the service of culture, quality of life and economic development. Continuing education and internships in companies and external entities allow it to bring this university education closer to the social and professional reality of its environment and to promote practical training of theoretical knowledge. In the case of History or Philology degrees, contact with primary documentary sources is fundamental for the development of research techniques and methodologies, as well as for the development of critical thinking. In the case of degrees related to Information and Documentation Sciences, practice in the technical processes of organisation, cataloguing and description, as well as in the use of library or archive management systems, is, in many cases, the opportunity for a first work experience.

The Sancho el Sabio Vital Fundazioa Foundation collaborates with the practical training of university students through agreements signed with universities in the Basque Country (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea) and Navarre (Public University of Navarre), but also at national (Carlos III University in Madrid) and international level (Université Toulous Jean Jaurès).

Jesús Olaizola Bibliography Fellowship

Bibliography Scholarship that pays tribute to the first director of the Sancho el Sabio Foundation, Jesús Olaizola Múgica. With the aim of creating a bibliographic database that completes and updates the information in the collections and databases of the space, the initiative is open to graduates or graduates in any discipline.

The works are open to any subject (science, technology, law, art, language, history, etc.), always within the field of knowledge of Basque culture, and may deal with any artistic discipline in any medium.

The grant may be awarded to individuals or to a research team, and each project will be assessed by a jury of experts.

The space located in Betoño preserves the bibliographic and documentary memory of the Basque people through its history and ideological plurality, one of the characteristics of today's society. Since 1964, its library has contained a valuable collection of monographs, periodicals, photographs, manuscripts, maps and family documentation. The centre has an important wealth of heritage that has made it an obligatory point of reference for research into Basque culture.
