The Sancho el Sabio Vital Fundazioa Foundation, as a research institution, identifies the promotion of the study and research of Basque culture as one of its strategic axes.

The Sancho el Sabio Vital Fundazioa research repository is the institutional repository created to collect, disseminate and digitally preserve the documentation resulting from research into Basque culture, in general, and that of Vitoria and Alava, in particular. Its objectives are:

• To bring together the documentation generated by the research community.
• To increase its visibility and dissemination within the national and international scientific community.
• To ensure its preservation, organisation and free access, while guaranteeing the recognition of copyright.

The research papers to be deposited will be original and any researcher may request the deposit service, both physical and digital.

Before starting the deposit process, it will be necessary to find out about the property rights of the same, as the Sancho el Sabio Vital Fundazioa repository promotes open access to research on Basque culture.

To apply to deposit documents in the repository, it will be necessary to be registered as a user of the Foundation and make the deposit request, which will be assessed by a Technical Committee. After acceptance, a deposit agreement will be signed between the researcher and the Sancho el Sabio Foundation.
